I recently installed a 3.2 Ghz p4 processor on an ASUS motherboard. After i finished installing everything i booted up my computer and it just kept restarting itself right before the boot screen. I first thought there was a problem with the windows files so i re installed winXP pro and the kernel files installed and my computer restarted. Again right before the screen where winXP continues installing the screen turns black and idles. some one please help! thanks

Hello and Welcome to MyTechSupport.ca

It seems to be obvious that you just installed a cpu and the system wont boot. Is the fan spinning on the cpu? Are you positive it is compatible with your board?

I was assuming you already reinstalled XP. Did you only do a repair installation the first time?
