This shouldn't be much of a problem, but for some reason it is for me. I just finished removing many viruses from a friend's older pc and the one thing I can't get right is enabling thumbnail view in My Pictures folder in Windows Explorer. I doublechecked everything I can find and it should work but all I get is an icon. Anyone have any ideas?

That may be true of Windows 98, but in the Second Edition thumbs are available. Each properties box for every jpeg image has a tick box for "Enable Thumbnail View" and it shows up in the "View" tab on the toolbar. My older pc had thumbnails and ran the same version. This system originally had Quicktime Picture Viewer as the default program to open jpegs, which is something I changed after removing all the viruses. I am absolutely positive I should be able to see thumbs, but I still can't figure it out. Thanks for your response.
